Wonder #reverb10

Prompt: Wonder. How did you cultivate a sense of wonder in your life this year?

I moved to a brand new country with a completely different culture.  Instant wonder.  Nearly everything is different to life in Australia.  I think I spent my first week here wandering around with my mouth open.  I moved to Hamburg in Autumn and it was like walking into a postcard.  So many beautiful fall colours which we rarely see in Australia since most trees are evergreens.  Then as winter came through, it transformed my new city into a winter wonderland, even more wonder.  It is amazing that you can go to bed one night and wake up to a whole different scenery outside your window.  However, the biggest source of wonder in my daily life is going for a walk through Stadtpark.  It is just so beautiful.

As someone who is from Canada and has lived in both Australia and Costa Rica I totally agree that moving to a new places gives you an instant sense of wonder. I found that in these new places I noticed things I probably wouldn’t have at home.
